Mr Skidmore has 26 years experience as a cancer and general surgeon in London and South East England. He has been a national committee member of the British Association for Surgical Oncology.

Training He was trained at Cambridge and Birmingham University medical schools, qualified in 1964, and subsequently worked at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, and Teaching Hospitals in Cambridge, Manchester (Christie Hospital) and the USA.
